Fonro is a folding bicycle that offers quick folding, compact size, and comfortable portability, making it suitable for urban commuters to easily switch to public transportation systems.

In the city, changing transportation methods is a common occurrence, such as buses, subways, and more, as urban spaces are widely known to be compact. FONRO aims to address the need for a folding bicycle that allows people to commute and exercise in the city effortlessly. With its innovative folding mechanism, it can be quickly and easily folded, and after folding, it becomes easily portable. Its single-arm design minimizes its volume, and the symmetrical tubing reinterprets the beauty of horizontal steel pipes and geometric shapes.

For the past few years, the Taipei city government has planned and built a municipal bike-friendly riding environment for commuters to their destinations by folding bicycles and mass transportation with practicality and convenience. This study tried to understand the
influence of carrying, folding and packaging on user intention of using folding bicycles for
transit access. Three folding bicycles of Brompton, Strida and Dahon were used in the pretest for field tasks on the Taipei mass transportation. Carrying experience in the field was concluded as the key factor of influencing user experience. A new prototype of folding
bicycle was subsequently designed after analytical results and suggestions with human factor dimension. It was compared with another folding bicycle (Strida) with the same system in the posttest for carrying and folding experience to propose more detailed suggestions and improvements.

The bicycle stem also adopt a quick-release structure, which can significantly reduce the overall size during the folding process.
A one-to-one scale of prototype weighing 10.5 kilograms will be created to conduct field experiments for the research paper and collect feedback from participants.
The bicycle storage bag is conveniently positioned under the seat, allowing users to quickly store and access the bag as needed.
The top of the bike bag can be opened to expose the seat, which can be used as an auxiliary handle for pushing. To make pushing easier and more effortless, hooks have been designed beneath the seat to hook onto hands, effectively achieving a more labor-saving and comfortable operation.
Based on the analysis and advice from the research thesis, a folding bicycle should be designed mainly for pushing supplemented by carrying  and lifting.
